Journal 6

1. The teacher underlined on a piece of paper and put it on her door to the classroom, that the mother had note wrote down the fathers name, even though it wasn't anyones bussiness that there wasn't a father involved.
2. The teacher send a note home to all the parents addressing the issues of Eric, so they would be aware if he came to their house.
3.  Yes. If they thought Eric's behavior was to much to handle then they shouldn't had enrolled him.
4. the directors, teachers, and parent.
5. Yes. If the teacher wold have talked to the clas before he arrived then the children might have treated him better and Eric wouldn't have felt so bad on his first day.
6. Let Eric meet the kids and teacher before starting his new school. Take a tour around the building and meet some of the staff.
7. Terriable. Even outside of work, you don't need to talk about issues that are confident and to where everyone could hear you.
8. Still unexceptable. If issues are confident, don't talk about them.
9. Put Eric's teachers on probation for treating a child like that and make sure Erics stay is a lot more like home; comfortable.
10. No. Even if the director tries to make things better, those teachers and kids was aweful to Eric and that can't be errased from him memory.
11. A child with Eric's learning disabilities and needs to have stability, and moving him from place to place will make him be withdrawn from other children.

Journal 4

All in all everyone has a bad day,do people react differently when they are having a bad? I think everyone shows it when they aren't having the best day. Some are rude, mean, cold, loud, embarrassing, and hurtful. Has anyone ever hurt me because of a bad day or because of something i might have said or done, yes, but to me there is no reason to act a certain way. Do i have bad days, of course, but i try to keep a lot to myself so i dosen't effect my job or my family's day. But some people react in a way you know something is wrong.
I have been a childcare teacher for eleven years and the one thing that i think is rude is when parents or other staff members talk to you without even looking at you. Sometimes it's because they have their atttention on something else while trying to talk to you and other times it's because they are irritated at you and dosen't want to look you in the face. Either way i think it's very rude. If i ever think i have done something i will ask and if someone says yes then i will make sure and fix or try and fix what i might have said or done. There is no reason for anyone to not look in the eye or give you the shoulder just because they don't want to talk about the situation.
Being a parent, teacher, and student i hear people complain 24/7. It dosen't bother me if someone needs to vent and talk about there day or problems because they know everything they say is going to be confidential. But on the other hand if they are doing this every day and nothing is positive and all they are saying are things that are negitive, i will politly let them know that I'm sorry to hear about whats happening but i try to keep my days light of stress and if there is ever anything i have said or done for you to be unhappy about then let me know and i will take care of the problem. I would rather the problem be addressed to me then to someone else.

Activity 2.1 page 18&19

 1. I would be consistent with the rules of not bringing anything that is made with nuts or anything with nuts in it. I would recommend the parent bring an already made cake or cupcakes from a bakery of choice to be on the safe side. That way the parent can celebrate the child's birthday and not have to worry about what to put in or on the cake.

2. I would remind the asking teacher that all staff members rotate Fridays to get off earlier and explain to her that i understand her request but she needs to go talk to another staff member and see if they will stay for her on Fridays and she will stay for them a different day of the week. Then after all that had been talked through i would make my finall decision.

Activity 2.2 page page 22&23

1. I would wait till the coworker and I was alone and then i would proceed to tell her that the bulletin board idea was mine and for future reference if she needed help with ideas just come to me and i would be more than happy to help her, but when i show her something that is my idea i would like for her not to take it and us it as her own.

2. I would reassure the father that i am deeply sorry for what happened to his child and also tell him that she never came to me and told me that she had been pinched. I would tell him that i maintain a close eye on the children and that if something like this happens again the child needs to make sure and tell me so i can take care of the issue. Then i would tell him that i would be more than happy to have a sit down meeting with him and the director.
